Outpatient surgery at Smalltown Hospital offers DIY cannula Kits to cut down on waiting time
"New figures show that we’re headed in the right direction," says Chief Surgeon S. Løv-Skalpell at Smalltown Hospital. "The number of people waiting for treatment has also halved in April."
"That’s fantastic!" we respond. "It means more people are getting treatment and can return to work."
"I wouldn’t know about that," says Chief Surgeon S. Løv-Skalpell. "But I did poke my head into the waiting room and noticed there were hardly any people there. So things are definitely moving along."
"We’re not actually treating more patients than before," Løv-Skalpell admits. "But as I said, there are fewer people in the waiting room."
"What could be the reason for that?" we ask.
"Beats me," replies the chief surgeon. "That’s a question for the politicians. But the fact that the parking lot is temporarily closed at the same time as the tram lines are being reconstructed might have something to do with it. Also, we changed the signage inside the hospital at the end of March, so maybe there are still some signs missing here and there. There are definitely more people than usual wandering aimlessly in the hallways."
